Lesson 38 : Comparison of Adverb

§ Comparison of Adverb

 1. 原級 Positive Degree
Comparative Degree
Superlative Degree
well
better
best
badly
worse
worst
much
more
most
little
less
least
far
farther / futher
fathest / futhest
例如:
  1. Oliver ran fast in this race.
  2. Christopher ran faster than Oliver in this race.
  3. Joseph ran fastest of all in this race.
  1. Tom plays skillfully.
  2. Billy plays more skillfully than Tom.
  3. Jack plays most skillfully of all.
  1. Lily writes very well.
  2. Rose writes better than Lily.
  3. Nancy writes best of all.
  1. He comes oftener than I but you come oftenest.
  2. He comes more often than I but you come most often.
  * "often" 可加er / est 或用 more / most。
  1. I know you better than he.﹝我比他更了解你。﹞
  2. I know you better than him.﹝我了解你勝過了解他。﹞
Tom played badly, Joseph played worse and Harry played
  worst.
Eat less, drink less and sleep more.
  1. He is a very wise man.
  2. He runs very quickly.
  3. This house is much larger than that house.
  4. He is the much cleverest boy of the four.
  5. He does his work much more quickly than I do.
Your method is much different from me.
